Advanced Search got simpler. The things you pick most are buttons now, the choices are in plain words, and you can see at a glance which filters are on.
What's new
- Mix formats. Click 45s and CDs to see both. It used to be one format at a time.
- A decade in one click. Click 1960s for every record from 1960 to 1969. Each decade shows how many records it has, and No year finds the ones without a year. Single years are still in the list under the decades.
- Yes/no fields are buttons. A yes/no custom field has Yes, No and Empty. Pick two to see either, like No and Empty for the records you haven't marked yet.
- So are short pick lists. A pick-list field with up to five choices shows them all as buttons, after Is any of or Is none of. A longer list stays a dropdown.
- Plain words. Text fields match with Contains, Doesn't contain, Is exactly, Has a value or Is empty; number fields with Is, Less than, More than or Between. Layouts are In any of or In none of.
- See what's on. Each filter you set gets an orange edge and an × to take it off, and the bottom of the window says how many filters are on. Clear all takes them all off.
In Layout Studio
The button above your records is called Advanced Search now, the same as in your collection. It leaves out Format, since a layout holds one format, and counts the years for that format only. Use it to find the records to put in a jukebox.
New to custom fields? Set them up first, then mark a whole stack at once with Edit and find them again here. Choosing your columns is in Advanced search and columns.
