Layout Studio shows your whole jukebox on one screen, laid out like the real thing, so you can plan where every record goes before you open the cabinet.
Set up your jukebox
- Go to My Jukebox and click Add Jukebox.
- Details: pick the brand, type the model (like 100G Select-O-Matic or 1015), and choose the format. Under Title Strip Designs, choose the design for this jukebox's strips.
- Layout: set the columns per panel and the records per column. The Layout Preview shows the panels as they sit in your machine:
- Drag a panel to move it.
- Click an empty spot to add a panel there, or remove one you don't need.
- Click a slot to turn it off, for selections your jukebox doesn't have. Click it again to turn it back on.
- Click Create Jukebox. To change it later, click Edit Jukebox on its card in My Jukebox, or in Layout Studio's toolbar.
Fill the layout
Go to Layout Studio and click New Layout. It opens on the canvas. (With more than one jukebox, pick which one it's for.)
- Your records are listed on the right. Search for one and drag it into a slot. Turn on Hide added record to list only the ones you haven't placed yet.
- On a 45 jukebox, Split Mode lets you drag the A and B sides into different slots, as separate songs.
- The Layout menu does the rest in one click: Fill Empty adds the records you haven't placed, Shuffle mixes them up, Compact Records closes up the gaps, and Clear empties the layout.
- Turn on Show Selection Code to see each strip's code, like A1 or B2, so you know which slot each record goes in.
Getting around the canvas
- Scroll the mouse wheel, or pinch on a trackpad or tablet, to zoom from 25% up to 200%.
- Drag the background to move around.
- The buttons in the corner zoom in and out, fit the whole jukebox on the screen, or reset the zoom.
- Ctrl+Z undoes, Ctrl+Y redoes and Ctrl+S saves (Cmd on a Mac).
One look for the whole jukebox
The Title Strips menu changes every strip at once. Change All Designs gives them all the same design, Randomize Designs mixes them up, and Reset puts every strip back to the default design.
Print and share
- Print → Generate PDF prints the layout's strips straight away, and Print → Add to Print Set puts them in a print set to print with others. More in how to print your title strips.
- Share gives the layout its own page. View it, copy the link, or post it on Facebook.
Keep a log of the machine
On My Jukebox, your jukebox has a Log Book. Add an entry when you buy it, have it serviced, move it or sell it, or just to make a note. Each entry has a date, what it cost and your notes, so the jukebox's history stays in one place.
